  • Net revenue increased by 8.1% as the average sales price per ton increased by 8% although the average tons shipped remained flat.
  • Net income increased by 19.7% thanks, in part, to increased interest income and earnings from minority interests.
  • In December, the company's board of directors announced a supplemental dividend of $0.50 per share, bringing the company's annual dividend per share to $0.60.
  • The company continued its stock repurchase program well into the fourth quarter by buying back approximately 1.6 million shares. Management has authorization to repurchase about 14.1 million shares under the program.
