First Midwest Bancorp Inc. on Thursday announced it will raise its quarterly dividend by 1.5 cents to 31 cents per share.

The Chicago-area bank paid a dividend of 29.5 cents in the prior quarter.

The dividend is payable Jan. 15 to shareholders of record Dec. 21.
