Latin American airline operator Copa Holdings SA said Monday its passenger traffic rose 11.4 percent in November on an 11.7 percent increase in capacity.
The company's overall revenue passenger miles, an industry unit measuring one passenger flown one mile, increased to 500.5 million from 449.4 million in November 2006.
Capacity, or available seat miles, grew to 662 million from 592.6 million in the year-ago period. Load factor, or occupancy, fell to 75.6 percent from 75.8 percent the year before.
Passenger traffic for the company's Copa Airlines operating subsidiary rose 14.4 percent to 419.9 million revenue passenger miles on a 16.1 percent increase in capacity to 535.7 million available seat miles.
Aero Republica passenger traffic fell 2.2 percent to 80.6 million revenue passenger miles, as capacity dropped 3.6 percent to 126.3 million available seat miles.
Copa shares fell 5 cents to $38.70.
