WCI Communities CFO Steps Down

WCI Communities Inc. said it named Ernest Scheidemann interim chief financial officer to replace James P. Dietz, effective Dec. 28.

The Bonita Springs, Fla., leisure and retirement community developer said Dietz is leaving to pursue other vacation-resort industry opportunities.

WCI said Scheidemann is the current treasurer and has been with the company since 2004.

Shares in WCI rose 10 cents to $3.75 in after-hours trading, erasing part of its earlier loss of 30 cents in active intraday trading.
