Nasdaq's Nov. Matched Market Share Rises

The Nasdaq Stock Market Inc. said Friday its matched market share was 30.3 percent in November, more than any other U.S. exchange for the seventh consecutive month.
Matched market share represents the total share volume of all U.S. equities executed on Nasdaq's book as a percentage of their total consolidated market volume.
Last month's matched volume reached 47.5 billion shares, compared with 27.9 billion in November 2006.
The exchange's matched market share of Nasdaq-listed securities in November was 46.3 percent, compared with 44.8 percent in same month last year.
Nasdaq's matched market share of NYSE-listed equities was 19.6 percent, up from 14 percent in November 2006.
Shares of Nasdaq fell 9 cents to $46.60 in afternoon trading.
