CHICAGO (AP) _ Mortgage insurer Old Republic International Corp. on Thursday said its fourth-quarter earnings fell nearly 81 percent on losses in both its mortgage guaranty and title insurance businesses, but the results met Wall Street expectations.

MILAN, Italy (AP) _ Fiat Group SpA reported Thursday that its fourth-quarter net income climbed 27 percent on sales of new models like the iconic Fiat 500.

SAN MATEO, Calif. (AP) _ Investment management firm Franklin Resources Inc. said Thursday its fiscal first-quarter 2008 earnings rose 21 percent on increasing investment management fees.

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (AP) _ GSI Commerce Inc., which provides online commerce services for customers including retailers and manufacturers, on Thursday reported preliminary 2007 operating income below analyst expectations.

DOVER, Del. (AP) _ Regional gaming operator Dover Downs Gaming & Entertainment Inc. said Thursday its fourth-quarter profit fell 12 percent, hurt by competition and economic conditions.
