Outlook Roundup: Amerigon, Monsanto

Among the earnings projection stories for Tuesday, Feb. 12, from AP Financial News:

NORTHVILLE, Mich. (AP) _ Amerigon Inc., which makes climate-controlled seats for the auto industry, on Tuesday reaffirmed revenue growth of between 30 percent and 40 percent in 2008.

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Monsanto Co. increased its full-year 2008 earnings per share outlook on Tuesday, citing strong demand for its seeds and traits business as well as for Roundup and other herbicides.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) _ Ecolab Inc., which provides cleaning and pest control services, said Tuesday it expects profit below Wall Street expectations during the first quarter.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) _ Construction and automotive supplier Gibraltar Industries Inc. said Tuesday it expects to report fourth-quarter earnings and profit below previous forecasts as the housing and car markets continue to slump.

MIAMI (AP) _ Apparel maker Perry Ellis International Inc. on Tuesday said it expects fiscal fourth-quarter revenue to decline as it shifts focus to branded apparel and away from private-label products.

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Aecom Technology Corp., a provider of professional technical and management support services, on Tuesday raised its fiscal 2008 earnings outlook to a range of $1.23 to $1.29 per share.

NEW YORK (AP) _ Israel-based Orckit Communications Ltd. said Tuesday it expects a first-quarter loss after swinging to a fourth-quarter profit.

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (AP) _ Database manager Teradata Corp. on Tuesday said it expects earnings and revenue to rise in 2008 on higher demand for its enterprise data warehousing and enterprise analytics services.

NEW YORK (AP) _ Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said Tuesday its 2008 and 2009 profit and revenue may top Wall Street expectations, despite the generic drug maker's plan to incur significantly higher research and development costs over these years.
