On the heels of its profit-posting fourth-quarter report, IRobot Corp. predicted on Tuesday that its 2008 revenue will rise 20 percent to 25 percent, beating analysts' expectations.
For the year, the company expects $300 million to $310 million in revenue.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect $282.5 million, on average.
IRobot also anticipates pretax net income of between $8 million and $10 million for the year.
IRobot shares rose 73 cents, or 3.8 percent, to $19.85 in after-hours trading, after finishing regular trading up 26 cents at $19.12.
