OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oil and gas producer SandRidge Energy Inc. said Monday it swung to a profit in the fourth quarter on higher production volume from an acquisition and improved pricing.

NEW YORK (AP) _ PMI Group Inc. expects to report a loss of more than $250 million for the fourth quarter as more missed payments on mortgage loans forced the mortgage insurer to pay more claims, the company said Monday.

MILPITAS, Calif. (AP) _ Chip testing equipment maker Credence Systems Corp. said Monday its fiscal first-quarter net loss widened, hurt by restructuring costs and lower sales as the company shifts focus to the consumer semiconductor markets.

BERLIN (AP) _ German publisher Axel Springer AG on Monday said it swung to a loss of about $437 million for 2007 after a writedown stemming from its mail business, PIN Group AG.
