Shares of multi-utility companies were mostly higher Thursday afternoon as bargain hunters emerged to spur a broad market rally.
American Electric Power Co. rose 56 cents to $40.83.
Centerpoint Energy Inc. gained 20 cents to $14.16.
Dominion Resources Inc. climbed 62 cents to $40.75.
Exelon Corp. rose $1.30 to $80.40.
