Adaptec Names Chief Financial Officer

Adaptec Inc., a provider of digital storage systems, said Monday it named Mary Dotz its chief financial officer.

Dotz replaces outgoing CFO Chris O'Meara.

Dotz will now be in charge of finance, accounting, legal, investor relations and information technology for Adaptec. She most recently served as CFO of Beceem Communications.

Shares of Adaptec rose 3 cents to $2.94 Monday.
