Altair Nanotechnologies Inc., a producer of particles for paints, coatings and sensors, on Wednesday said its Chief Financial Officer Edward C. Dickinson will become senior director of programs and contracts, a newly created position.
Dickinson will retain his corporate secretary position.
John C. Fallini, who was previously CFO of Alloptic, which makes equipment for the telecommunications industry, will take on the CFO position.
It is the second recent executive move for Altair, which is transitioning from technology and product development to manufacturing.
In late February, Alan Gotcher agreed to resign as chief executive.
In March, the Reno, Nev.-based company reported a loss of $31.5 million, or 45 cents per share, in 2007, wider than the $17.2 million, or 29 cent per share, loss in the prior-year period.
Revenue more than doubled to $9.1 million, partly due to higher product sales.
