Aegon Names New Head of Dutch Unit

Insurance and pension provider Aegon NV said Monday it named Marco Keim chief executive of AEGON The Netherlands.

Keim, 45, previously served as CEO of Swiss Life's Dutch operations. He will also be appointed to Aegon's management board.

Aegon's Dutch operations accounted for more than 17 percent of the company's operating earnings before taxes in 2007. Aegon's operating earnings before taxes were $2.69 billion last year.

Keim will start his new position June 1.
