Information technology services and business software provider Compuware Corp. said Monday that it expects its fiscal fourth-quarter revenue and per-share earnings rose, based on preliminary financial results.
For the quarter that ended on March 31, Compuware expects earnings of 22 cents per share for the quarter, or 23 cents per share before restructuring charges. The forecast exceeds the average analyst estimate of 19 cents per share, based on a Thomson Financial survey of four analysts.
Compuware also expects revenue of $337 million. This includes about $100 million in software license revenue, about $126 million in maintenance revenue and about $111 million in professional services revenue.
In the year-ago quarter, the company reported per-share earning of 21 cents on revenue of $313 million.
Compuware will report results next month.
In after-hours electronic trading, shares of the company rose $1.26, or 18 percent, to $8.25. The stock ended the regular session down a penny at $6.99.
