Armored vehicle maker Force Protection Inc. said Monday that its audit committee hired Grant Thornton LLP as the company's new independent registered public accounting firm.
The engagement is for the 2007 and 2008 fiscal years, Force Protection said.
Grant Thornton succeeds Elliott Davis LLC, which resigned in March. Force Protection then said it had no disagreement with its prior accounting firm over accounting principles or practices.
Force Protection shares rose 4 cents to $3.04 in aftermarket trading, after rising 5 cents to $3 in the regular session.
