OraSure Technologies facing patent infringement case

OraSure Technologies Inc., a medical products maker, said Thursday it received a patent complaint against one of its products.

Inverness Medical Innovations Inc., Inverness Medical Switzerland GmbH and Church & Dwight Co. filed a complaint saying a rapid HIV test made by OraSure infringes on patents, OraSure said in a statement.

OraSure denied it infringed on any patents in producing the test and plans to defend itself against the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in New Jersey.
