NEW YORK (AP) _ CNA Financial Corp.'s profit tumbled 37 percent in the first quarter as tumultuous markets rattled the insurer's investment portfolio and competition squeezed premiums, the company said Monday.

HOUSTON (AP) _ Sysco Corp. said Monday its fiscal third-quarter profit rose 9 percent, helped by higher broadline segment sales.

HOUSTON (AP) _ Natural gas transmission and storage company Boardwalk Pipeline Partners LP said Monday its first-quarter earnings rose 10 percent on sales from new gas transportation contracts, higher rates and a one-time settlement gain.

HOUSTON (AP) _ Enterprise Products Partners LP, which transports, processes and stores natural gas, said Monday its first-quarter profit more than doubled on stronger shipping volumes.

NEW YORK (AP) _ Cott Corp., a private-label soda maker, said Monday it swung to a first-quarter loss as costs rose and volume fell in North America.
