Disc drive manufacturer Seagate Technology LLC said Monday Chief Financial Officer Charles Pope will resign from that position Aug. 25.
Pope, 53, who has been with the company 24 years, will continue to lead the Seagate Services section, which provides data management and protection. He took over that division earlier this year.
Patrick O'Malley, 46, currently Seagate's senior vice president, finance treasury, was named the new finance chief.
Seagate shares fell 20 cents to close at $19.19. Shares slipped 3 cents in aftermarket electronic trading.
