The chairman and chief executive of Cheniere Energy Inc., a developer of liquid natural gas-receiving terminals, sold 1.7 million shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Tuesday.
In a Form 4 filed with the SEC, Charif Souki reported he sold the shares April 15 through April 23 for $7.67 to $15.97 apiece.
Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.
Cheniere Energy is based in Houston.
