Adobe sees 2Q at high end of range

Software maker Adobe Systems Inc. said Thursday it expects second-quarter results at the high end of its forecast ranges, and it reaffirmed its outlook for fiscal 2008.

Adobe said in mid-March it expected second-quarter revenue of $855 million to $885 million, net earnings per share of 35 cents to 37 cents and operating earnings of 45 cents to 47 cents per share. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial, on average, expect earnings of 46 cents per share on revenue of $874.8 million.

The company's second quarter ends May 30.

For the fiscal year the company continues to expect revenue growth of 13 percent and operating earnings of $1.86 to $1.92 per share.
