On Friday, InterContinental Exchange, an over-the-counter and futures exchange operator, may top Wall Street expectations, but shares might not react, according to Banc of America Securities analyst Christopher J. Allen.
"While we see upside, we believe investors are already expecting a strong quarter, so it may already be priced in," he wrote in a client note.
Strong trading volume, partly due to rising energy prices, likely drove profit growth.
