Maxwell Technologies Inc., which makes energy storage devices, and NessCap Co. Ltd. said Monday they have agreed to halt all ongoing patent litigation.
The two companies have agreed to settle the patent disputes over their respective ultracapacitor products. Proposed settlement terms remain confidential, pending a final agreement.
Ultracapacitors are energy storage devices, often no bigger than a postage stamp, used to extend battery life.
