Willbros Group boosts 2008 earnings, revenue outlook

Oil industry contractor Willbros Group Inc. on Wednesday raised its full-year earnings forecast range by 5 cents per share, sending shares up after hours.
The company now projects full-year income between $1.70 and $1.95.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect the company to earn $1.81 per share.
The company also boosted its revenue guidance to a range of $1.8 billion to $2 billion, from a previous forecast of $1.6 billion to $1.8 billion. Analysts predict revenue of $1.73 billion.
Shares of Willbros, which also reported a first-quarter profit, jumped $1.64, or 4.3 percent, to $40 after-hours. The stock earlier added 76 cents, or 2 percent, to close at $38.36.
