Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. on Thursday named Harry C. Hagerty to its board of directors.
Hagerty, 47, recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Global Cash Access Holdings Inc., a provider of cash access systems for the gaming industry.
Hagerty will serve on the Trump board's audit committee. His appointment will expire at the 2010 annual shareholders meeting.
Earlier in the day, Trump Entertainment reported a wider first-quarter loss on increased competition, weakening economic conditions and promotional costs associated with its new player-loyalty program, TrumpONE.
Chief Executive Mark Juliano also said during a conference call that the company might sell one or more of the three Trump casinos if the right deal presents itself.
Shares of Trump Entertainment Resorts tumbled 24 cents, or 8.8 percent, to $2.47 in afternoon trading. The stock hit a new 52-week low of 2.40 earlier in the session.
