Shares of machinery companies closed down Friday, along with the broader markets, as oil prices rose above $126 a barrel for the first time ever.
Light, sweet crude rose as high as $126.20 on the New York Mercantile Exchange before settling at a record $125.96.

Terex Corp., down 95 cents to $71.23.
Cummins Inc., down $1.14 at $66.98.
Caterpillar Inc., down 66 cents at $81.76.
Deere & Co., down 51 cents at $86.31.
