Closing glance: Major beverage stocks mostly rise

Major beverage stocks closed mostly higher Monday afternoon amid broad market gains as investors were encouraged by the dollar's advance against other major currencies and a dip in oil prices.

How shares of some major beverage makers performed:

Molson Coors Brewing Co. gained $1.06 to close at $57.06.

Anheuser-Busch Cos. rose 68 cents to $51.61.

Coca-Cola Co. added 25 cents to $56.40.

Bucking the trend, PepsiCo Inc. fell 16 cents to $67.35.
