Shares of large pharmaceutical companies closed higher Monday as the broader market gained ground on a rising dollar and falling oil prices.

Here's how some key drug makers performed Monday:

Wyeth up 95 cents, or 2.2 percent, to $44.88.

Merck & Co. shares up 63 cents to $39.62

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., down 8 cents to $21.63.

Pfizer Inc., up 12 cents to $19.91.
