GE awarded $24.7M Navy contract to supply engines

General Electric Aviation, a unit of General Electric Co., received a $24.7 million contract boost to supply seven spare F414-GE-400 engines for the Navy's F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets and its EA-18G Growler attack aircraft, the Defense Department said late Monday.

General Electric's shares rose 13 cents to $32.40 Monday.
