The chief financial officer of Tyson Foods Inc., Wade Miquelon, is leaving the company to take a similar job at Walgreen Co., the nation's largest retail pharmacy chain, according to an announcement Monday from Tyson Foods.

Miquelon joined Tyson Foods, the world's largest meat-processing company, in April 2006 from The Procter & Gamble Co. His new job at Walgreen will take him to that company's headquarters at Deerfield, Ill., north of Chicago.

Dick Bond, president and CEO of Tyson Foods, said that in his two years with the company, Miquelon had "strengthened our finance and accounting functions by helping them move beyond financial reporting to become more in tune with our overall operations."

The announcement said Dennis Leatherby, senior vice president of finance and treasurer, will take over Miquelon's duties until the vacancy is filled.
