Opening Glance: Diversified financial shares rise

Diversified financial-services companies' shares rose Monday, as Wall Street got some relief from soaring energy prices. As oil prices declined, the dollar advanced, easing some worries about inflation.

How some diversified financial companies' shares were performing Monday morning:

Citigroup, up 10 cents to $23.73.

Bank of America, up 37 cents to $37.02.

CIT Group Inc., up 42 cents, or 3.6 percent, to $12.04.

JPMorgan Chase & Co., up 31 cents to $46.88.
