Closing Glance: Construction, engineering ends up

Shares of construction and engineering companies closed sharply higher on Tuesday after two heavyweights, Fluor Corp. and McDermott International Inc., posted quarterly earnings that left investors bullish.

Here's how some shares of construction and engineering companies performed:

Fluor, up $24.67, or 14.8 percent, to $191.03.

McDermott, up $3.93, or 7.3 percent, to $57.88.

KBR Inc., up $1.09, or 3.3 percent, to $34.11.

Chicago Bridge & Iron Co., up $2.15, or 5.2 percent, to $43.33.
