Opening Glance: Biotechnology shares fall

Shares of biotechnology companies opened lower Tuesday as the broader market fell slightly as the Commerce Department reported a dip in April retail sales.

How shares of several key biotechnology stocks performed Tuesday:

Celgene Corp., down 82 cents to $60.92.

Amgen Inc., down 14 cents to $42.81.

Biogen Idec Inc., down 85 cents to $62.20.

Genentech Inc., up 23 cents to $68.60.
