Standard & Poor's on Tuesday said it will add Under Armour Inc. to the S&P MidCap 400 index and National Financial Partners Corp. to the S&P SmallCap 600 index.
Athletic apparel and footwear maker Under Armour will replace IndyMac Bancorp Inc. in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Thursday. IndyMac Bancorp's market capitalization fell below the index requirements, S&P said.
National Financial Corp. will replace LifeCell Corp. in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Friday. LifeCell is being acquired by S&P MidCap 400 constituent Kinetic Concepts Inc.
Under Armour shares rose $1.47, or 4.5 percent, to $34.45 in aftermarket activity. They earlier fell $1.29, or 3.8 percent, to $32.98 in the regular session.
Shares of National Financial Partners rose $1.25, or 5.3 percent, to $25 in aftermarket electronic trading. The stock earlier slipped 77 cents, or 3.1 percent, to close at $23.75.
