Accenture buying privately held Origin Digital

Outsourcing and consulting firm Accenture said Wednesday it is buying privately held Origin Digital Inc. for an undisclosed amount to expand its digital media offerings.

New Jersey-based Origin Digital provides video capture, transformation and delivery services to content owners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Shares of Bermuda-based Accenture rose 29 cents to $38.09 in afternoon trading.
