Aspen Insurance to buy back $100M worth of shares

Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd. said Wednesday it agreed to repurchase $100 million worth of shares from management fund Candover Partners Limited and Candover's employee trust.

The 4.1 million shares are part of Aspen's $300 million share buyback program.

In a separate transaction, London-based Candover Partners will sell about 2 million Aspen shares in a public offering.

Bermuda-based Aspen provides property and casualty insurance among other services.
