Ceradyne gets $31.5M ceramic body armor order

Ceradyne Inc., which makes ceramics used as military armor and in industrial processes, said Wednesday it received a $31.5 million order from the Army for ceramic body armor.

The enhanced side ballistic inserts order for the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland is set for delivery from September through November.
