E-Trade Financial Corp.'s April daily average revenue trades rose 6 percent, the online brokerage said Wednesday.
E-Trade, which has struggled after making poor investments in mortgage-related products, said retail customer assets fell 16 percent to $174.13 billion as customer securities holdings dropped 18 percent. The decline came as the company sold its retirement advisory business along with $2.3 billion in customer assets and 24,000 accounts.
