Most major media companies' shares fell Thursday morning after the government reported a larger-than-expected drop in industrial production for April.
Industrial output fell for the second straight month at more than double the rate predicted by analysts.
Also, the Labor Department said the number of jobless claims grew last week, although the increase was in line with analyst expectations.

Time Warner Inc., down 7 cents to $16.20.
New York Times Co., down 7 cents to $19.44.
Walt Disney Co., down 4 cents to $34.76.
News Corp., down 9 cents to $19.59.
