Opening Glance: Insurers decline

Shares of insurers mostly fell Friday morning as Moody's Investors Service said it might downgrade several of American International Group Inc.'s subsidiaries and as broader markets fell slightly.

How shares of some prominent insurers fared:

AIG shares fell 31 cents to $39.26.

Shares of AllState Corp. fell 58 cents to $49.95.

Shares of bond insurer Assured Guaranty Ltd. fell 45 cents to $24.37.

Shares of PMI Group Inc. fell 10 cents to $6.06.
