Shares of telecommunications carriers traded just about flat Friday morning as Wall Street inched slightly lower as oil prices again hit a record high. A surprise jump in new home construction, however, eased some investor worries.
How some key telecom stocks performed Friday:
AT&T Inc. fell 2 cents to $39.84.
Sprint Nextel Corp. fell 10 cents to $9.30.
Verizon Communications Inc. fell 1 cent to $38.89.
Qwest Communications International Inc. fell 3 cents to $4.74.
