Polycom senior vice president exercises options

The senior vice president and general manager of communication-equipment maker Polycom Inc. exercised options for 10,000 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Tuesday.

In a Form 4 filed with the SEC, Sunil Bhalla reported exercising the options for the shares on Tuesday for $23.50 apiece and then selling them all the same day for $24.51 to $24.63 apiece.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.

Polycom is based in Pleasanton, Calif.
