Shares of biotechnology companies wavered with the broader market Monday following a potentially positive economic report and negative comments on sales by memory chip maker SanDisk Corp.

Here's how several key biotechnology stocks performed Monday:

Celgene Corp., down $1.12 to $59.97.

Amgen Inc., up 31 cents to $42.34.

Biogen Idec Inc., down 75 cents to $62.75.

Genentech Inc., up a penny to $70.20.
