ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. (AP) _ Asta Funding Inc. lost money in the fiscal second quarter because of slow collections on a big portfolio of credit card loans the bad-debt collector bought last year, the company said Monday.

NEW YORK (AP) _ Greek drybulk shipper DryShips Inc. on Thursday said first-quarter profit more than doubled, helped by the sale of a ship.

NEW YORK (AP) _ Cell phone design company China TechFaith Wireless Communication Technology Ltd. said Monday it swung to a first-quarter profit on sales of middle to high-end cell phones.

NEW YORK (AP) _ Satellite designer and manufacturer Loral Space & Communications Inc. said Monday its first-quarter loss widened, partially as a result of losses from a recent acquisition.
