Industrial control systems and software maker Echelon Corp. on Monday projected a loss of 21 cents per share for the second quarter and 35 cents for the full year.
The estimates are based on projected revenue, margins and share count for the remainder of 2008, the company said.
Excluding stock-based compensation costs, Echelon expects a second-quarter loss of 11 cents per share and earnings of 1 cent per share for the full year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial, on average, forecast Echelon to lose 15 cents per share during the second quarter and 26 cents per share for the full year.
Shares slipped 7 cents to $13.25 in premarket trading.
