Shares of insurers mostly fell early Monday as broader markets were mixed in early trading as a report on leading economic indicators increased slightly as expected.

Shares of bond insurer Assured Guaranty Ltd. fell 37 cents to $24.20.

Shares of mortgage insurer PMI Group Inc. rose 7 cents to $6.01.

American International Group Inc. shares fell 38 cents to $38.96.

Progressive Corp. shares rose 5 cents to $18.96.
