TD Ameritrade hosts more trades in April

TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. hosted more trades and attracted more of its clients' money in April than in the same month last year, the brokerage said Monday.

TD Ameritrade hosted 297,000 trades a day in April, up 17 percent from April 2007 and down 3 percent from March 2008.

The company's clients held $320 billion in their accounts at TD Ameritrade at the end of the month, up 4 percent from the end of March, and up 9 percent from April 2007.
