Clairol headquarters in Connecticut up for sale

The parent company of Clairol Inc. has put the Stamford, Conn., headquarters and plant up for sale.

Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble Co. has hired a New York City commercial real estate company to sell the 32.68-acre site for an undisclosed price.

Real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield Inc. says there could be many businesses interested in acquiring the complex.

Clairol is scheduled to leave Stamford in 2010.
