Shares of insurers mostly fell along with the broader markets Tuesday as oil prices hit a new record and a new government report said wholesale inflation rose in April more than expected.
Shares of bond insurer MBIA Inc. fell 37 cents, or 3.9 percent, to $9.16.
Shares of mortgage insurer PMI Group Inc. fell 5 cents to $5.94.
American International Group Inc. shares fell 94 cents, 2.4 percent, to $38.01.
Shares of Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. fell 46 cents to $70.05.
