J2 Global names COO, co-president to new CEO post

J2 Global Communications Inc., which provides outsourced voicemail, fax and e-mail services, said Tuesday it promoted Chief Operating Officer and Co-President Hemi Zucker to its newly created chief executive post.

Zucker, 51, has worked with j2 Global since 1996, serving as co-president and COO since 2005.

The company said that its other co-president, Scott Turicchi, 44, will be president. He will continue to oversee j2 Global's investor relations and mergers and acquisitions functions.

Shares of j2 Global rose 60 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $25.52 in afternoon trading.
