Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. said Wednesday its Chief Operating Officer Daniel M. Izard will leave effective Sept. 1.
Izard's duties will be absorbed by other executives, the company said.
Earlier this month, the company reported first-quarter profit dropped 25 percent as write-downs hurt investment income.
Shares of Endurance Specialty rose 17 cents to close at $33.61. They hit a 52-week low of $33.01 earlier in the day.
